Our processes ensure we provide our clients with the highest quality service while fulfilling our contractual obligations and commitments.

We provide our clients with the highest quality service

Our clients feel confident knowing that Terrex Seismic has strict Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Systems in place to secure their valuable datasets.

Our processes ensure we provide our clients with the highest quality service while fulfilling our contractual obligations and commitments.

Rigorous systems and procedures

We design sophisticated, robust QA/QC systems and processes to ensure we are acquiring and securing our clients highly valuable seismic datasets within the confines of our contractual obligations and commitments.

In terms of hardware and equipment, these measures include:

  • Pre-survey – Prior to commencement of seismic acquisition source and recording hardware is checked to assess performance is as per manufacturer specifications.
  • Spot-checks – During seismic acquisition source and recording hardware is checked at various stages to ensure all equipment is operating correctly as per manufacturer specifications.

Data Management and Security

  • We set up automated data processing routines to visually inspect and monitor seismic data quality to ensure all survey objectives are being achieved.
  • We immediately duplicate raw data off multiple RAID Servers on to high-capacity hard drives once harvested from nodes in the field.
  • We download and generate multiple copies of the partially processed seismic data.
  • We prepare seismic data shipments, including multiple copies of all support records and data required for inhouse intensive processing (both raw and partially processed seismic data being shipped from the field crew).

Comprehensive reporting

Once the survey is complete, we generate a comprehensive Final Operations Report covering both client and regulatory reporting requirements.

The Final Operations Report serves to provide a summary of the program and preserve the day to day details of seismic project from start to finish for future reference. The final report is inclusive of line preparation and restoration operations, survey and positioning, seismic acquisition, and QA/QC processes undertaken. The report covers survey design and acquisition parameters, equipment and instrument specifications, key personnel positions, as well as discussing the project logistics, technical justifications behind survey designs and acquisition parameters chosen.
