Dombey 3D Seismic Survey a 2022 Energy & Mining Premier’s Award winner for Beach Energy

Congratulations to Beach Energy Ltd on winning the Environment Category for the Dombey 3D Geophysical Survey at the recent 2022 Energy & Mining Premier’s Awards.

Terrex Seismic is proud to be part of such an innovative survey.

The survey was acquired December 2021 to March 2022.  The 3D seismic survey is located in the Otway basin in the south-east extremity of South Australia, northwest
of Penola, some 382 km east of Adelaide and 426 km west of Melbourne, Victoria.

No line preparation was carried out. All source lines were on existing tracks and receiver points were hand carried where driving was not possible.  UTV-type vehicles were used whenever possible.

Working with COVID-19

During this unprecedented Global Crisis of COVID-19 across Australia Terrex Seismic is doing all it can to prevent the spread of this virus and uphold the commitment to society we must all make as responsible members of this great Country.

With active operations ongoing through this crisis we are committed to doing everything within our control to mitigate the risk of transmission to our employees, clients and the community as a whole. As a company we have developed a COVID-19 committee tasked with overseeing the way our business combats this unparalleled risk to our very survival. The majority of our operational and administrative staff are now working from home and we have increased hygiene and cleaning requirements across the business.

The wide range of measures that have been put in place are both adaptive and fluid as we continually review, evolve and improve the way in which we work towards preventing disruption to our operations and providing an unwavering focus on doing whatever it takes to fight the progression of this pandemic.

If you would like to understand how Terrex Seismic are planning project specific mitigation strategies or just need a friendly voice to connect with, please get in touch!

BENEATH THE AUSTRALIA ALPS

Terrex Seismic are very proud of the part we played to help discover the dynamic geological processes that are making the Australia Alps.

Conducting the Southeast Lachlan Deep Crustal Seismic Reflection Survey, Terrex Seismic played a part in helping Geoscience Australia; and the Victorian Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions discover the dynamic geological processes that are making the Australian Alps.

AEGC 2019: Data to Discovery

Terrex Seismic is pleased to be a Silver Sponsor & Exhibitor at the second Australasian Exploration Geoscience Conference.

The second Australasian Exploration Geoscience Conference (AEGC) will be held at the Crown Perth from Monday 2, to Thursday 5, September and is the largest petroleum and mineral geoscience conference in Australasia. The theme for the conference is “Data to Discovery” and is jointly hosted by the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (AIG), Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (ASEG), and the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia (PESA).

With a focus on Geology, Geophysics, and Geochemistry the AEGC presents an excellent forum in which new technologies, workflows, and methodologies are discussed and presented across a number of dedicated streams relevant to both Petroleum and Mineral systems throughout Australasia.

Please be sure to drop by Booth 15 for an update on emerging seismic trends and to discuss how Terrex Seismic is helping our clients navigate the future of nodal acquisition. As keen advocates of continuous innovation and the role data plays in petroleum and mineral exploration Terrex Seismic are pleased to be Silver Sponsors of this not to be missed conference!
