Terrex Spatial completes many projects in all areas of surveying. A selection of recent projects can be found below.
Department Transport Main Roads, Central Region Work
- Terrex Spatial has completed 1st Order Control surveys to support various projects including MLS capture, Digital Terrain Modelling & Road rehabilitation & Maintenance works.
- Data registration with DERM for inclusion in the SCDB.
One project included observing marks every 5km for a 200km section of existing road. The applications of completing this type of survey was to gather information for future road planning and infrastructure, for flood proofing and information.
Digital Terrain Modelling and Road Setout Surveys
This included the completion of the following
processes:
- Control
- Leveling
- Detail
- Processing
- Verification
Digital Road Centerline
This type of survey involves driving through the centre of roads, and collecting data for asset identification for the Department of Main Roads using Inertial and GPS equipment.
Recently, Terrex Spatial completed a Digital Road Centreline (DRCL) Capture project for DTMR. This was 220km long, and was part of DTMR's National Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA) program.
LiDAR support and verification
This includes observing test points on the ground that are used to ensure the accuracy of the LiDAR Aerial Survey Data. Terrex Spatial is able to complete all ground survey support for any LiDAR project.
Mine Control Surveys
Generally completed before establishment of a mine site, these control networks aid any in the quality and timeliness of any survey required at a mine and allow for cost efficient surveys throughout the future.
Borehole Surveys
Capture of exact location and elevation of drilling activities for mining companies undertaking exploration for coal, oil and gas.
